Subject: Burwash Landing to Haines Junction, YT

Comments: After breakfast this Tuesday morning in Burwash Landing, I headed southeast along the Kluane Lake and at Destruction Bay I saw a couple bikes outside a restaurant and looked to see what states they were from. It turned out it was Ricky and Pat that I had met a few days before at another restaurant. They, too, were on their way back to the states this time, following about the same route I was but moving at a faster pace. So I headed out again with them still in the restaurant but eventually they caught up with me, as I was rounding the south end of the lake. They stopped to photograph some of the fall color by the lake and so I pulled in behind them on the shoulder of the road and took a couple pictures of them.

From there we pulled out together but they left me in their dust and I didn't see them again, although I figured I would run into them again at Haines Junction.

At Haines Junction, I went to a little bank in the back of a grocery and changed all my American money to Canadian. I was getting tired of only getting 1.20 for my U.S. dollar instead of the 1.28 it was supposed to be.
