Subject: Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier

Comments: Juneau was the end of the first leg of our trip by ferries. After spending one day in Juneau, at the Prospector Hotel, we boarded the M/V Kennicott headed for Valdez, AK. These photos show our time spent in Juneau, and include the area downtown where the big cruise ships dock, and Mendenhall Glacier, and the Red Dog Saloon.

Except for some home-smoked salmon that I was given by some folks from Holland later in the trip, the best smoked salmon I found on this trip came from Jerry's Meats, a couple miles to the north of downtown Juneau (for those of you that crave smoked salmon like I do).
